MODELLING

Scientific modelling is a scientific activity, the aim of which is to make a particular part or feature of the world easier to understand, define, quantify, visualize, or simulate by referencing it to existing and usually commonly accepted knowledge. It requires selecting and identifying relevant aspects of a situation in the real world and then using different types of models for different aims, such as conceptual models to better understand, operational models to operationalize, mathematical models to quantify, and graphical models to visualize the subject. Modelling is an essential and inseparable part of many scientific disciplines have their own ideas about specific types of modelling.

There is also an increasing attention to scientific modelling in fields such as science education, philosophy of science, systems theory, and knowledge visualization. There is growing collection of methods, techniques and meta-theory about all kinds of specialized scientific modelling.

Flirt Cosmetics’ New Color-Changing

In case you haven’t noticed, the ‘90s and early aughts are back in the best of ways, with all of the chokers, space buns, and body glitter to satisfy every Limited Too-loving child in the land. And though we initially thought we’d like for our makeup to stay in the modern decade (nobody needs frosted eye-shadow to make a comeback, thank you very much), that was before we got the exclusive on Flirt Cosmetic’s new insanely cool launch: Lip pHetish Lipsticks, a collection of three balm-like lipsticks that literally change color after you swipe them on. Yup.
According to Flirt, though, the magic is in the pH (if you couldn’t guess by the name). Each of the sheer lipsticks, which feel more like tinted lip balms than traditional lipsticks, contains pigments that turn pink when they come into contact with different moisture, heat, and pH levels. So just like the mood rings that you were convinced could read your soul (even though they constantly labeled you as a weird mix of unsettled and romantic—seriously, wtf?), these lipsticks are less mystical and more straight-up scientific.

Cosmetic Packaging

The term cosmetic packaging is used for primary packaging and secondary packaging of cosmetic products.

Primary packaging, also called cosmetic container, is housing the cosmetic product. It is in direct contact with the cosmetic product. Secondary packaging is the outer wrapping of one or several cosmetic container(s). An important difference between primary and secondary packaging is that any information that is necessary to clarify the safety of the product must appear on the primary package. Otherwise, much of the required information can appear on just the secondary packaging.

Cosmetic packaging is standardized by the ISO 22715, set by the International Organization for Standardization[24][28] and regulated by national or regional regulations such as those issued by the EU or the FDA. Marketers and manufacturers of cosmetic products must be compliant to these regulations to be able to market their cosmetic products in the corresponding areas of jurisdiction.[29

White House Not Selling Jewelry

When Donald Trump officially became the 45th president of the United States on Jan. 20, the White House website was changed to include information about him and first lady, Melania Trump. Her biography page, which includes details about her college education, modeling career and charity work, also touted her as a “successful entrepreneur” who “launched her own jewelry collection” on the QVC television shopping network in 2010.

That information was then twisted by some — including the liberal Learn Progress website, which falsely claimed that “advertisements for Melania’s jewelry collection are on the White House’s website.”

“The White House website is now a carnival barker. Step right up and see the best of cheap jewelry and a modeling career,” the story said. “This act is unimaginable. We all knew that Trump would profit from the presidency, but to use the White House website as a QVC ad goes way too far
